Barbecue @ BBQ Garden Maizuru Park, Maizuru, Fukuoka

As the temperature slowly tunes down and autumn is upon us, it will probably make sense to make use of what summer days we have left and do what we always do during such warm temperatures. And that is barbecue. I always enjoyed a good barbecue. However, cleaning up and prep can be a bit annoying. But if you can get someone else to do it and all you need is to just show up at the barbecue spot, would not that be ideal? Well, lets just say I have found a spot that can help make those ideals come true.

Our base for the next 2 hours.

Located deep in Maizuru Park lies the aptly named establishment of BBQ Garden Maizuru Park, where the heart of your dreams and desires lie. Well, that might be an exaggeration but if your deepest wishes is a fuss free barbecue, then that imagery is not very far. The place provides a meal set of sorts where for 3780 yen per head, you get a decent serving of various meat cuts, seafood, vegetables, marshmallows and also rice balls and pizza.

Look at this ensemble!

This actually seem pretty decent, considering that for the time that me and my friends got it, we were allowed to sit in a tent for 2 hours and the charcoal and props were ready before we arrived. Speaking of cuts, there were a variety that was offered to us. Considering that this includes all the clean up service, this is a great deal.

Meat on meat on meat!

The variety was so expansive, you might feel as though there was a butcher just within the premises. from pork belly, to cubed steak, tsukune mince, beef tongue, and various sausages to name a few, this was pretty great. The seafood was represented by squid unfortunately. But this was not a main factor since everything else was pretty great to begin with. And once the heat reached the desired level, all the meats eventually went onto the pit and eventually into our stomachs.

Burn baby burn!

Since everything was pretty fresh, all the food that popped out turned out great. The beef was juicy and tender, the chicken was firm and moist, and a huge shout out must be made for the weiners that were provided. They were pretty high quality stuff and had a nice spiciness to the, We all enjoyed them thoroughly. It was pretty enjoyable. But of course, being a barbecue, the dining experience is very dependant on the skill of the person behind the fire. Shoutout to the friends that take turns tending to the flame.

The place looks actually rather nice when the sun goes down.

In terms of the atmosphere, it was quite spartan but still enjoyable at the same time. We were there from the late afternoon to early evening as the weather becomes cooler. It should be noted that drinks are sold separately but you are allowed to bring your own goods. As such, we got ourselves some soft drinks and booze from the nearest combini before checking in. But if you do fancy something on the premises, there is a beer stand that serves the usual classics like Asahi and highballs and a few craft beers that are in stock.

In any event, this was a very fun summer evening with friends and probably one of the better ways we say goodbye to the warm season as we usher in the cooler months ahead. Located in Maizuru Park, this is dead center in Fukuoka city which makes it easily accessible. And the best part, once is all said and done, the staff will help clean up everything else. So if you fancy a go while the weather is still barbecue friendly, then why not hop over? The address is as follows:

〒810-0043 Fukuoka, Chuo Ward, Jonai, 2, Maizuru park
