Burgers @ Red Brooklyn, Fukuoka Airport, Fukuoka
With my traveling commitments going on the upswing, it is no surprise that eating at the airport has become more commonplace. For an airport, Fukuoka Airport actually has decent offerings. From various cafes to even a Ramen Street (click here for my visit to Tsukiya), there is something for everyone. And it was one of those days that I needed a serious burger.
One of the few entrances to the food court. The establishment is not too far off. |
I have always passed by Red Brooklyn, which is a burger stand in the main food court. However, I never tried it. Well the long wait is about to end soon and I eventually ordered the usual classic, the cheeseburger along with a side of fries and a soft drink. This set stood for 1410 yen. Not the cheapest, but not out of the ordinary in terms of the price. And after a short wait of a few minutes, my lunch was ready.
Lunch at the ready |
Honestly speaking, it was a decent burger. Everything was on point and was relatively pretty tasty. However, there was nothing too outstanding about what was offered. The patty was similar to a smashed-style burger, which is relatively safe to cook. The veggies were the usual lettuce and tomatoes. And the cheese was the generic cheddar slice. The bun was a bit of a letdown as it was slightly dry, Overall, this was not half bad, but it was nothing very special.
A closer look. |
The fries were pretty generic too. They do the job of complimenting the meal. But other than that, again, nothing special but it gets the job done. At least it was not like cardboard, that will be dire. And the drink that came with it was a can of Coca-Cola, so thing much to say I guess. Luckily I was pretty hungry at the time.

At the outset, this sounds like a negative review, which is not wrong. There are many better burgers out there in Fukuoka city, as you may have spotted in many burger posts I have written throughout the years. But if you are in a pinch and you are somehow in the airport, this establishment will sort you out nicely. So it is not all doom and gloom. Just don't expect something special. Having said that, if you are experiencing burger cravings while waiting for your connecting flight, this place is worth a visit. And the specific address is as follows:
2nd Floor Domestic Airport, 778 Shimousui, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0003.
