Kon Loh Mee @ Kuching Noodle House, One City, Subang Jaya

It was a rainy Saturday evening and usually for days like this, I would tend to get something warming for dinner. As I wanted something warming but light ( which can be super filling to some), I decided to go to my local noodle place near my house.

Comfort in a bowl
Kuching Noodle House has been in the USJ area for a few years now and has been my usual place I got my noodle fix. The other place will be the pork noodle shop literally next to it, aptly names "I Like Mee", which we shall delve deeper some other time.

The usual I got would be the smoked duck dry noodles, which comes with pork mince and no surprise, smoked duck. I have tried the other variants but I feel the smoked duck is the condiment that worked best with the noodles.

The noodles is home made and has a texture similar to japanese ramen. The sauce for the noodles gets locked on easily and the noodles are chewy enough to my liking. Portions are decent and the large serving is around RM9. Not too bad considering smoked duck isn't really cheap. The savoury and fatty texture of the duck really went well with the noodles and the house special chili sauce has a zesty kick.

I have always enjoyed eating here. A simple but effective establishment, granted I have never eaten proper Sarawak noodles in Sarawak. But if you would like to visit the place, the address is as follows:
